"This is Water"

My reaction to the speech "This is Water," by David Foster Wallace was that it wasn't something that everyone can relate to. Possibly some parts people can relate to but not the whole thing. I myself don't relate to it much but some parts I guess I can relate to are the parts when trying to get to work from school while there's a lot of traffic. Also having to do the same routine everyday. It gets boring.
My goals in life are to finish school and get a good job so I can support myself and my dogs when I live alone because I want to have the best life for myself and my pets. When I get to college I'd like to get into nursing because that's what I've been looking forward to doing. In all honesty though, I guess I'm ready for college to an extent but the rest not so much. College is just another so many years of stress honestly. I don't know how I'm still alive but I'm glad that I am. Plus you also have to pay for it and that adds more stress cause you have to work for the money. No one wants to do that but oh well you're gonna have to. Graduating from high school is pretty cool cause I'm ready but I'm not ready to go to college and all. It's trash honestly.

New Releases by Twice

Twice is my most favorite girl group of all time if you didn't know. If no one knew then everyone knows now.

On April 30th, 2017, writer C. Hong wrote that Twice has released teasers for their new album "Signal." The album is said to be coming out on May 15th, 2017. Hong wrote that it seems like they're dropping new teasers of their new album until the day of the release. I haven't seen the teasers yet but when I have the time I will look into it.

Sadly it will be a mini album with 6 songs but hey at least we're getting something from them. In 11 days the album will be released and in June they'll be performing in concert. The bad thing for me is that it's in another country and I can't go. Hopefully I'd be able to buy this album.

Zico: A Pretty Good Artist

Zico is was born in South Korea and his birth name is Woo Ji Ho. I don't know the story behind the reason why his name is Zico but it is. Zico is a pretty new artist to me and he's pretty good. Honestly I didn't expect myself to like him or his music but I ended up liking it. Zico is currently in a group called Block B. I've never heard their music before but I'll probably give his whole group later. Zico is the leader, main rapper, vocalist, and the face of his group.


Zico recently released a single called "She's a Baby." It's a pretty good song I think but when I heard his other songs it seemed like it was something he hasn't done. On his solo albums at least. And the single's album cover is pretty different. Cute but different. I can't wait for his future solo releases.


He seems like a pretty cool guy and maybe if he goes to kcon I'd go see him live or something. Until then I'm just gonna stick to his music on Apple music. That's the best I have until then.

New Releases of February 2017

This February there will be so many new releases from many k-pop artist. The artist I'm most excited for is Twice, BTS, and Red Velvet

Even though these are some of the most overrated groups but I've liked them ever since they've debuted. I'm proud of why they've become and how far they've come. I know how hard they've worked and it all was worth it. While researching for exact dates, Red Velvet will have released their album on January 31. There were some teasers and sneak peaks of some of the art concept for the album and it looks good so far. Not sure what Twice or BTS' album will be called yet so hopefully they release them as soon as possible.

BTS Coming to the US!!

So recently I've been informed that one of my favorite groups name BTS, short for Bangtan Boys, are coming to Anaheim, California in 2017. My friend showed me that she has purchased tickets and it made me sad. I really wanted to go but I didn't know until last minute so I can't go sadly. It'll be cool though because they're coming to the US and it'll be announced everywhere. I'm pretty excited to see the videos my friend posts on whatever she's posting them on. If anyone else is going, know I'm jealous and also happy for ya. Can't wait to see videos posted everywhere so I can cry myself to sleep. I remember BTS came to kcon earlier this year so it'd be nice to have them visit again. Once I have enough money to go to their concerts, I will be attending one. Also money to travel, can't forget that. Someday my dream will come true but that'll be many lifetimes in the future. Maybe going to Seoul myself and trying to meet them myself in person would make my dreams become true. Some of them know English so I'm good on that part. I'm also learning Korean so maybe by the time I get to go visit Seoul, I'll already know some Korean. Then again, who knows what would happen. Guess I'll just have to wait and see.

My Thoughts about Mamamoo

Mamamoo is a four member all female girl group that debuted back in 2014 under RBW and CJ E&M. They are a very talented group and they aren't getting the love they deserve. If you were to listen to a live version with the MR removed, you would see how stable their voices are even when they are dancing. On the social media apps I use, I follow people who also like k-pop and I see them also getting upset because they also agree with the fact that Mamamoo is underappreciated. I think it's that people don't know much about them or they just don't like them but what I don't understand is why they don't like them. Maybe it's because they're so talented. A person I know personally is my cousin and she always gets mad when I talk bad about them because she also thinks they're extremely talented but obviously I'm joking because I like them too. People should show them some love. They recently released a full album called "Memory" and it's a really good one honestly. The album cover is the one with the big "M" on it. My favorite song on the album is called "Decalcomanie" and it's their top song on that album. Give it a listen, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it. If you do I give you permission to hate me. My Recommendation of the Day

The group I'm going to recommend is a girl group called Twice. Twice is a nine member girl group under the record label called JYP. The names of the members are Jihyo, Mina, Momo, Tzuyu, Sana, Jeongyeon, Nayeon, Dahyun, and Chaeyoung. Three of the members are Japanese though, the rest of them are Korean. They were formed by JYP in 2015 because they were on a reality TV show called Sixteen. They have been a pretty popular group because they are so cute and lovable, I think so. They one of my top favorite groups so far and their music is great. I honestly don't care about what anyone says, I think they're good. I really hope they continue to release new music as much as they can while still getting rest. They just released a mini album called "TWICEcoaster: LANE 1." The new hit song is called TT and it's about a girl who likes a guy and for reasons she can't have him. They have two mini albums that are already released. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who's excited for them to make more music. I really hope you guys are up to giving them some time to listen to music. I can't promise you that you'd like them because it all depends on the person who's listening to them.
